W13D5 - Forum (Graduation)

by Kati Evans

Here is the full production script for Week 13, Day 5—The Grand Finale.

To ensure this fills the 30–60 minute window, the core of this event is "The Magistrate's Challenge," a game show-style quiz where you test the audience on everything they learned over the last 3 months.

Crucial Note: You need a physical object (a texture, a badge, or a mesh medal) named "The Seal of the Enlightened Citizen" to give away at the end. Put it inside a prim (a box) set to "Click to Give" or hand them out manually.

πŸ“œ SECOND LIFE SCRIPT: WEEK 13, DAY 5

Event: The Forum ("The Graduation & Magistrate's Challenge") Host: Kati Evans Target Duration: 45–60 Minutes (Celebratory & Interactive)

🟒 PRE-EVENT CHECKLIST

  • [ ] Rez the Stage. (Props: Banners, extra fire, maybe a feast table).

  • [ ] The Prize: Have a stack of coins (L$) or RP items ready for quiz winners.

  • [ ] The Reward: Have the "Seal of the Enlightened Citizen" giver box ready.

  • [ ] Staff: Plants A & B are vital to ensure questions get answered if the crowd is shy.

  • [ ] 1:00 PM: Announce 5-minute gathering period.

🎀 PART 1: THE OPENING ADDRESS (Kati)

(Walk to the podium. Stand tall. Look proud. Maybe play a "Gong" sound or Crier bell.)

[Chat Block 1] /me steps onto the stage. She is dressed in her finest robes today. She raises her hands, calling for silence not with a shout, but with presence. "Tal! Citizens of Teletus! We have done it."

[Chat Block 2] "Thirteen weeks ago, we gathered here in the dust. Many of you did not know the number of the law that could cost you your hand. Many did not know the difference between a Merchant and a Smuggler."

[Chat Block 3] "Today, you are no longer ignorant. You are scholars of the Code. You have walked the Circle."

[Chat Block 4] "We have covered the Authority of the Ubar. We have looked behind the Modesty of the Veil. We have tested the Weight of the Scale. We have learned the Price of the Thief's Hand. And we have silenced the room with the Laws of the Slave."

[Chat Block 5] "But knowledge is useless if it sits in your head like a stone. It must be used. So today, before you receive your Seal... you must prove you are worthy."

πŸ† PART 2: THE MAGISTRATE'S CHALLENGE (The Final Exam)

[Chat Block 6] /me steps down from the podium to the center of the rug. She holds up a bag of coin (or a prize). "It is time for The Magistrate's Challenge."

[Chat Block 7] "I will ask Five Questions covering the last 13 weeks. The first person to Shout the correct answer wins the prize. Be fast. Be accurate."

[QUESTION 1 - EASY] "Question One: We start with Treason. According to Law 1.4, it is a capital crime to make an unauthorized map of the City. But it is also Treason to make a copy of what small metal object?" (WAIT. Look for: "A KEY" or "UBARATE KEY".)

[Chat Block 8 - The Verdict] "Correct! A Key. specifically, a key to Ubarate buildings. Never copy a key. Drusus died for it in Week 1. The prize is yours!" /me pays/hands prize to the winner.

[QUESTION 2 - MEDIUM] "Question Two: We move to the Market. A Traveling Peddler arrives in Teletus. According to Law 5.3.b, how many days may he trade freely before he must register or leave?" (WAIT. Look for: "5 DAYS" or "ONE HAND".)

[Chat Block 9 - The Verdict] "Correct! One Hand (5 Days). On the sixth day, he is an illegal shop. Gavin lost his cart because he couldn't count. You, however, can count. The prize is yours!" /me pays/hands prize.

[QUESTION 3 - HARD] "Question Three: We move to Conduct. A Free Woman is in a tavern. She is arguing with a man. In her anger, she calls him 'Master.' Is she Safe... or Slave-Like?" (WAIT. Look for: "SLAVE-LIKE" or "SLAVE".)

[Chat Block 10 - The Verdict] "Correct! Slave-Like. Law 3.3.8. Addressing a Free Man as 'Master' is an act of verbal submission. A Free Woman never kneels in her speech. Well done." /me pays/hands prize.

[QUESTION 4 - TRICKY] "Question Four: We move to Slavery. A slave sees her Master's dagger falling off a table. To save it from chipping, she catches it by the hilt. Does she Live... or Die?" (WAIT. Look for: "DIE" or "DEATH".)

[Chat Block 11 - The Verdict] "Correct... and tragic. She Dies. Law 6.3.3. She touched a weapon without explicit permission. Her intent was good, but her action was illegal. The Law is iron. Excellent memory." /me pays/hands prize.

[QUESTION 5 - THE FINAL BOSS] "Question Five: The final test. Law 1.3. Why do we obey all these laws? Why do we pay taxes? Why do we guard the gate? What is the physical object that represents the soul of our city?" (WAIT. Look for: "THE HOME STONE".)

[Chat Block 12 - The Verdict] "THE HOME STONE. Correct!" "It is the anchor. It is the reason we are not savages in the forest. Without the Home Stone, there is no Law. The prize is yours!"

πŸ“œ PART 3: THE RENEWAL OF OATHS (Ceremony)

[Chat Block 13] /me returns to the podium. She looks solemn. "You have proven your knowledge. Now, prove your heart."

[Chat Block 14] "In Week 1, we spoke the Pledge of Citizenship. Today, as we close The Circle, I ask every Citizen here to stand and renew that pledge with me. Let the city hear our voice."

[Chat Block 15] "Stand! Raise your right hand!" (Wait for avatars to stand.)

[Chat Block 16] "Repeat after me!" "I am of Teletus!" (Wait for echo)

[Chat Block 17] "Her Laws are my Breath!" (Wait for echo)

[Chat Block 18] "Her Stone is my Heart!" (Wait for echo)

[Chat Block 19] "From the Gate to the Grave!" (Wait for echo)

[Chat Block 20] "Be it so!"

πŸŽ–️ PART 4: THE GRADUATION (Giving the Reward)

[Chat Block 21] /me rezzes a small, ornate box on the front of the stage. "You have learned. You have pledged. Now, you are recognized."

[Chat Block 22] "This box contains the Seal of the Enlightened Citizen. It is a token of your dedication to the Law."

[Chat Block 23] "Take it. Display it in your home. When a visitor asks what it means, tell them: 'It means I know my rights, and I know your limits.'"

(Allow time for people to click the box and get the item.)

🏁 PART 5: THE FINAL CLOSING

[Chat Block 24] /me looks out over the crowd one last time, a genuine smile on her face. "The First Cycle is complete. We will take a recess to allow these lessons to sink into the stones of the city."

[Chat Block 25] "But the Law never sleeps. Watch your ledgers. Watch your veils. Watch your slaves."

[Chat Block 26] "I am Magistrate Kati Evans. It has been my honor to teach you."

[Chat Block 27] "THE CIRCLE IS CLOSED!"

(Trigger visual effects if you have them—fireworks, smoke, or just a massive gong sound.)

[Chat Block 28 - OOC] ((Thank you all for coming to this 13-week event series! The Circle will return soon. Please grab your gifts!))

W13D4 - Story (Magistrate's Dilemma)

by Kati Evans

Here is the full production script for Week 13, Day 4.

To ensure this fills the 30–60 minute window, the Storyteller portion is written as a Logic Puzzle. It is not just a passive story; it is a riddle wrapped in a narrative. I have also included a post-story "Final Exam" segment to prep the audience for Graduation.

Special Instruction: You must copy the "Part 2: The Story" section into a Notecard named Script: The Magistrate's Dilemma and give it to your Guest Speaker (or perform it yourself) before the event.

πŸ“œ SECOND LIFE SCRIPT: WEEK 13, DAY 4

Event: The Storyteller ("The Magistrate's Dilemma") Host: Kati Evans Guest Performer: The Storyteller (Guest or Kati) Target Duration: 40–50 Minutes

🟒 PRE-EVENT CHECKLIST

  • [ ] Rez the Stage. (Props: A Gavel, a set of Scales, a pile of coins).

  • [ ] The Storyteller: Ensure they have the script notecard.

  • [ ] 1:00 PM: Start formal RP. Announce 5-minute gathering.

🎀 PART 1: THE INTRODUCTION (Kati)

(Walk to the podium. Look contemplative.)

[Chat Block 1] /me steps onto the stage. She looks at the Gavel resting on the podium. "Tal, Citizens. Welcome to Day 4 of The Final Week."

[Chat Block 2] "For thirteen weeks, we have studied the Law in pieces. We learned about Theft. We learned about Slavery. We learned about Contracts."

[Chat Block 3] "But life is messy. Crimes do not happen in neat little boxes. Sometimes, a crime touches three laws at once. Sometimes, the victim is also the criminal."

[Chat Block 4] "Today, our Storyteller brings us the tale of 'The Magistrate's Dilemma.' It is a complex case that challenged the wisest judge in Teletus. It involves a Thief, a Slaver, and a Dancer."

[Chat Block 5] "Listen carefully. At the end, I will ask you to deliver the verdict. If you have learned your lessons well, you will see the solution."

/me steps down and takes a seat near the fire, gesturing for the Storyteller to take the chair.

πŸ“– PART 2: THE STORY (For the Guest Speaker)

(Give this text to your Storyteller. They should paste one block at a time, pacing themselves.)

[Block 1] /me sits in the storyteller's chair, holding a coin up to the light. "The accused was a woman named Rina. She was Free. She was young. She was hungry."

[Block 2] "Rina walked into the shop of a Slaver. The Slaver was busy chaining a new shipment of girls. He did not notice Rina."

[Block 3] "Rina saw a gold coin sitting on his desk. She wanted it. But she knew if she just grabbed it, she would be seen."

[Block 4] "So, she created a distraction. She began to dance. But she did not dance a Free dance. She rolled her hips. She licked her lips. She danced the Slave Dance of the Paga Tavern. She made a spectacle of herself."

[Block 5] "The Slaver turned to watch. He was mesmerized. While his eyes were on her hips, her hand went to the desk. Swipe. She took the coin."

[Block 6] "Then, she ran. She ran for the City Gate. She was ten feet from the archway when a Guard tackled her. The coin flew from her hand."

[Block 7] "So, we have the facts:

  1. She stole a coin (Theft).

  2. She danced lewdly to do it (Slave-Like Behavior).

  3. She tried to leave the city with stolen property (Flight)."

[Block 8] "The Magistrate sat on his bench. He looked at Rina. He looked at the Slaver. He looked at the Law."

[Block 9] "If he judged her for Theft, she loses an Ear (First Offense). If he judges her for Slave-Like Behavior, she loses her Freedom (Enslavement). If he judges her for Flight, she is an Outlaw."

[Block 10] "But here is the twist: The Slaver demanded she be enslaved... and given to him as repayment for the theft. Rina demanded she just lose her ear and go free."

[Block 11] "The Magistrate had to choose. Which Law is supreme? The Property Law? Or the Conduct Law?"

(The Storyteller stops. They look at the audience.)

[Block 12] "He made his choice. But before I tell you what it was... the Magistrate asks the Circle: What would you do?"

⚖️ PART 3: THE VERDICT (Interactive Debate)

(Kati Returns to the Podium.)

[Chat Block 13] /me stands and nods to the Storyteller. "A tangled knot. Let us untie it."

[Chat Block 14] "You have three options. Vote now." "Option A: Cut her ear (Theft) and let her go." "Option B: Enslave her (Conduct) and give her to the Slaver." "Option C: Enslave her (Conduct) and send her to the City Kennels."

(WAIT 30 SECONDS. Let the audience debate. Most will say B or C.)

[Chat Block 15 - The Solution] "The Magistrate chose Option B (Modified)."

[Chat Block 16] "He ruled that her Conduct (Slave Dancing) was the root of the crime. She acted like a slave to facilitate the theft; therefore, the Law treats her as a slave."

[Chat Block 17] "He stripped her Freedom instantly. She became property. However... since she was now property, she could not 'own' the stolen coin. The coin was returned to the Slaver."

[Chat Block 18] "BUT... the Magistrate did not give her to the Slaver for free. That would be rewarding the victim too much. He ordered her sold at Public Auction. The Slaver received the price of the coin from the proceeds. The rest went to the City as a fine for her crimes."

[Chat Block 19] "Justice was served. The City got paid. The Slaver got his coin back. And Rina got the life she danced for."

πŸŽ“ PART 4: THE PRE-GRADUATION QUIZ (Interactive)

[Chat Block 20] /me leans forward. "That was a hard case. Tomorrow is Graduation. I want to make sure you are ready. I will ask three rapid-fire questions. Shout the answer."

[Question 1] "Question 1: What is the punishment for a slave who touches a weapon?" (WAIT. Answer: DEATH.)

[Chat Block 21] "Correct. Death. No exceptions."

[Question 2] "Question 2: How many days can a Peddler trade without a license?" (WAIT. Answer: 5 DAYS / ONE HAND.)

[Chat Block 22] "Correct. One Hand."

[Question 3] "Question 3: Who is the only person who can arrest a Citizen without a Warrant in a non-emergency?" (WAIT. This is a trick. Answer: NO ONE / or THE UBAR.)

[Chat Block 23] "Trick Question! No one. Unless it is Immediate Danger, even the High Magistrate needs a paper trail. The Law protects us all."

❓ PART 5: Q&A SEGMENT

[Chat Block 24] "I will take final questions before our Graduation tomorrow."

(Signal PLANT A)

[PLANT A QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress! What if I missed a week? Can I still graduate?"

[Chat Block 25 - Answer] /me smiles warmly. "If you have the knowledge in your head, you have graduated in spirit. The Seal is just a token. The true reward is not losing your hand because you knew the law."

(Signal PLANT B)

[PLANT B QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress, will The Circle continue? Or is this the end?"

[Chat Block 26 - Answer] /me nods. "The Circle is a wheel. It turns. We will take a recess to let the lessons sink in. But as long as there are new citizens, there will be a need for teaching. We will return."

🏁 THE CLOSING

[Chat Block 27] /me smooths her robes. "You are ready. You know the difference between a Merchant and a Thief. You know the weight of the Home Stone."

[Chat Block 28] "Tomorrow is Day 5. The Graduation Ceremony. Wear your best. Bring your friends. We will hand out the Seals and celebrate the Order of Teletus."

[Chat Block 29] "Thank you to our Storyteller. The Circle is closed!"

(Signal Crier/Slave to end.)

W13D3 - Poem (Circle Unbroken)

by Kati Evans

Here is the full production script for Week 13, Day 3.

To ensure this fills the 30–60 minute window, the focus today is on Synthesis—putting all the pieces together. I have added a specific interactive segment called "The Chain of Law" where you guide the audience through a complex "Domino Effect" scenario to show how one broken law leads to another.

Special Instruction: You must copy the "Part 2: The Poem" section into a Notecard and give it to your Poet (from Aria’s team) before the event.

πŸ“œ SECOND LIFE SCRIPT: WEEK 13, DAY 3

Event: The Poet's Corner ("The Circle Unbroken") Host: Kati Evans Guest Performer: The Poet (Aria or designate) Target Duration: 40–50 Minutes

🟒 PRE-EVENT CHECKLIST

  • [ ] Rez the Stage.

  • [ ] Props: A large Metal Ring, Wreath, or Loop of Rope hung on the podium/wall to symbolize "The Circle."

  • [ ] The Poet: Ensure they have the poem text notecard.

  • [ ] 1:00 PM: Start formal RP. Announce 5-minute gathering.

🎀 PART 1: THE INTRODUCTION (Kati)

(Walk to the podium. Trace the shape of the Circle/Ring prop with your hand.)

[Chat Block 1] /me steps up to the podium. She runs her hand along the curve of the iron ring displayed there. She looks out at the crowd with a sense of pride. "Tal, Citizens. Welcome to Day 3 of The Final Week."

[Chat Block 2] "Thirteen weeks ago, we started this journey. We started with a single concept: The Home Stone. The center point."

[Chat Block 3] "Since then, we have walked the radius. We have visited the Market, the Bedroom, the Barracks, and the Kennels. We have studied the laws that govern the highest Ubar and the lowest slave."

[Chat Block 4] "Today, we close the loop. We realize that the Law is not a straight line; it is a Circle. Every law connects to another. The Merchant needs the Warrior; the Warrior needs the Caste; the Caste needs the Home Stone."

[Chat Block 5] "To celebrate the completion of our journey, I have invited a voice from the Caste of Singers. I present to you [Poet's Name], who will recite a piece titled 'The Circle Unbroken.'"

/me steps back from the podium and gestures for the Poet to take the center stage.

πŸ“œ PART 2: THE POEM (For the Actor/Poet)

(Give this text to your Poet. They should paste one stanza at a time, waiting 20 seconds between each. The tone should be epic and final.)

[Stanza 1] /me stands tall, arms spread wide as if embracing the city. "Thirteen weeks the wheel has turned, Lessons taught and lessons learned. From the first stone laid in dust, To the merchant's scale of trust. We traced the path of ink and steel, And bound the spokes within the wheel."

[Stanza 2] /me points to the different sections of the audience (Men, Women, Slaves). "We saw the Lady in her veil, We saw the Thief within the jail. We heard the Slaver count his gold, We saw the story, ancient, old. From Ubar's throne to Slaver's block, We stand upon the Home Stone rock."

[Stanza 3] /me brings hands together, clasping them tight. "The Chaos waits outside the gate, With savage claws and mindless hate. But here within the wall of stone, No citizen walks all alone. The Law connects us, hand to hand, The iron sinew of the land."

[Stanza 4] /me bows head reverently. "The ink is dry, the scroll is sealed, The nature of the world revealed. To live by Code, or by it die, Beneath the burning Gorean sky. The Stone remains, the words are spoken, The Circle stands, complete, unbroken."

(The Poet bows deeply to the crowd.)

🎀 PART 3: THE ANALYSIS (Kati Returns)

(Wait for applause. Walk back to the podium.)

[Chat Block 6] /me returns to the podium. "Thank you, [Poet's Name]. 'The iron sinew of the land.' That is what Law is."

[Chat Block 7] "Many people think Laws are chains. They are not. They are Connective Tissue. Without them, the Merchant would fear the Warrior, and the Warrior would starve without the Merchant."

[Chat Block 8] "We have spent weeks studying laws in isolation. Now, I want to show you how they connect."

πŸ”— PART 4: THE CHAIN OF LAW (Interactive Game)

[Chat Block 9] /me leans forward. "I want to play a game called 'The Domino Effect.'"

[Chat Block 10] "I will start a story with one crime. You tell me what happens next based on the laws we have learned. Let us see how bad it gets."

[Step 1] "The Start: A Baker is angry because he is poor. He decides to stop paying his Quarterly Tax (Law 1.10). He hides his coin. The Tax Collector comes. What happens?" (WAIT. Answer: He lies / Fraud.)

[Chat Block 11] "Correct. He claims Economic Crisis (Law 1.10.3) but has no certificate. This is Fraud. The Collector tries to seize his flour sacks."

[Step 2] "Next Step: The Baker panics. He grabs the Collector's arm to stop him. He punches the Collector in the face. What is this crime?" (WAIT. Answer: Assault on Official / Law 4.4.3.c.)

[Chat Block 12] "Yes. Assault on an Official. The punishment goes from a Fine (Tax Evasion) to Loss of a Hand. The Guards rush in."

[Step 3] "Next Step: The Baker is terrified of losing his hand. He runs! He runs out the back door and sprints toward the City Gate. What is he now?" (WAIT. Answer: Outlaw / Fugitive.)

[Chat Block 13] "He is fleeing justice. But wait! At the Gate, he sees a Panther Girl trying to sneak in. He pushes her down to distract the guards and escapes into the woods. He is now an Outlaw."

[Step 4] "Final Step: He survives in the woods for a month. He misses the city. He draws a map of the City Gate's weakness on a piece of bark and sells it to a Wagon Person for food. What has he committed now?" (WAIT. Answer: TREASON.)

[Chat Block 14] "TREASON. Law 1.4. Making unauthorized maps/selling info. He went from a Tax Cheat... to a Handless Man... to an Outlaw... to a Traitor."

[Chat Block 15] "Do you see the chain? One broken law weakens the resolve to keep the next. And the slide ends in death. Keep the first law, and you never have to fear the last."

❓ PART 5: Q&A SEGMENT (Reflection)

[Chat Block 16] "We have time for reflection. I want to ask: Of all the laws we studied these 13 weeks, which one do you think is the hardest to follow?"

(Wait for audience to chat. Discuss their answers. "Silence is hard for slaves." "Taxes are hard for merchants.")

(Signal PLANT A)

[PLANT A QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress! Does the Law ever change? Or is it set in stone forever?"

[Chat Block 17 - Answer] /me nods. "The Home Stone is eternal. The Laws... are durable, but they can evolve."

[Chat Block 18] "The High Council votes on amendments. If a law is unjust or outdated, the Castes debate it. But we do not change law lightly. Stability is the goal. We do not change the rules in the middle of the game."

(Signal PLANT B)

[PLANT B QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress, what if two laws contradict each other? Which one wins?"

[Chat Block 19 - Answer] /me smiles. "The Hierarchy wins. Security trumps Commerce. Caste trumps Comfort."

[Chat Block 20] "If a Merchant Law says 'Sell Freely' but a Treason Law says 'Do Not Sell Keys,' the Treason Law wins. The Safety of the Home Stone is the Supreme Law. All other laws bow to it."

🏁 THE CLOSING

[Chat Block 21] /me smooths her robes. "The Circle is complete. But we have two days left."

[Chat Block 22] "Tomorrow, we have our final Storyteller. We will hear 'The Magistrate's Dilemma.'"

[Chat Block 23] "It is a complex story involving a thief, a slave, and a conflicting set of laws. It will be the final test of your logic before graduation."

[Chat Block 24] "And Friday... the Graduation. Do not miss it."

[Chat Block 25] "Thank you to our Poet. The Circle is closed!"

(Signal Crier/Slave to end.)

W13D2 - Play (Invisible Ledger)

by Kati Evans

Here is the full production script for Week 13, Day 2.

To ensure this fills the 30–60 minute window, the play is written as a Forensic Drama. It focuses on the tension of an audit—the slow realization that the criminal has been caught. I have also included an interactive segment called "The Audit" where the audience plays the role of Tax Collector.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: You must copy "PART 2: THE PLAY" into a Notecard named Script: The Invisible Ledger and give it to Aria (or your actors) at least 24 hours in advance.

πŸ“œ SECOND LIFE SCRIPT: WEEK 13, DAY 2

Event: The Player's Stage ("The Invisible Ledger") Host: Kati Evans + 3 Actors (Varo, The Magistrate, The Slave) Target Duration: 40–50 Minutes

🟒 PRE-EVENT CHECKLIST

  • [ ] Rez the Stage. (Props needed: A desk with books, a coin bag, a cage or chains).

  • [ ] Costumes:

    • Actor 1: Varo (Slaver, flashy, wears too much jewelry).

    • Actor 2: The Magistrate (Merchant Magistrate, stern, holding a ledger).

    • Actor 3: The Slave (Dressed for sale, silent).

  • [ ] 1:00 PM: Start formal RP. Announce 5-minute gathering.

🎀 PART 1: THE PROLOGUE (Kati)

(Walk to the podium. Wait for the crowd to settle.)

[Chat Block 1] /me steps onto the stage, moving to the side. She gestures to the setup. "Tal, Citizens. Yesterday, we spoke of the difference between a Merchant and a Smuggler."

[Chat Block 2] "In Teletus, Slavery is a legal trade. But like all trades, it leaves a paper trail. Or at least... it should."

[Chat Block 3] "Some men think they can sell flesh in the dark. They think if they accept only cash, and write down no names, the City will never know. They are wrong."

[Chat Block 4] "Today, the Caste of Players presents 'The Invisible Ledger.' It is the story of Varo, a Private Slaver who loved profit but hated taxes. Watch how the numbers eventually trap him."

[Chat Block 5] "Actors, take the stage!"

/me steps off the stage and joins the audience to watch.

🎭 PART 2: THE PLAY (For the Actors)

(NOTE: Give this section to your Actors.)

[SCENE 1: THE SHADY DEAL]

(Varo is standing by his slave. He is whispering to an imaginary buyer off-stage.)

Varo: /me leans in, voice low and greasy. "She is a beauty, yes? Fresh from the North. Strong back. Good teeth."

Varo: "The price? Five hundred. But... if you pay me in gold, right now, no receipt... I will give her to you for four hundred."

(Varo mimes taking a heavy bag of coin.)

Varo: /me weighs the bag and grins. "Pleasure doing business. Take her out the back way. We don't want the Scribes asking questions."

(Varo pockets the money and pats the Slave on the head.)

Varo: "Another sale, another untaxed profit. I am a genius."

[SCENE 2: THE AUDIT]

(The Magistrate enters. He walks confidently, carrying a thick book. He does not smile.)

The Magistrate: "Tal, Varo. Business looks... quiet."

Varo: /me jumps, startled. He quickly smooths his tunic over his pocket. "Magistrate! Yes, very quiet. Hard times. I have not sold a girl in a month!"

The Magistrate: /me opens his book. "Strange. Because your neighbor says he saw three wagons leave your yard this week. And the Gate Guard says you exported four slaves on Tuesday."

Varo: "Lies! Rumors! I am just... moving stock around. Reorganizing!"

The Magistrate: "I am here for the Quarterly Audit, Varo. Law 5.7. Show me your Ledger."

Varo: /me sweats. He hands over a thin, dusty book. "Here. See? Empty pages. No sales. No tax due."

[SCENE 3: THE TRAP]

The Magistrate: /me flips through the empty book. He snaps it shut. "This ledger is indeed invisible. But this one is not." /me pulls a second, smaller notebook from his own robe.

Varo: "What is that?"

The Magistrate: "We seized this from your former assistant. It lists every sale you made in the dark, Varo. Including the girl you sold five minutes ago."

Varo: "That... that is a forgery! You have no proof!"

The Magistrate: "Bring in the evidence." /me snaps fingers. The Slave steps forward (having been 'sold' but recovered by guards).

The Magistrate: "Girl. Who sold you?"

The Slave: /me points a trembling finger at Varo. "He did, Master. For four hundred gold tarns. He put the gold in his left pocket."

The Magistrate: "Varo, empty your pocket."

Varo: /me clutches his pocket. "It is my personal savings! My grandmother gave it to me!"

The Magistrate: "You lie. You are trading without record. You are evading the 1% Tax. You are a Smuggler."

[SCENE 4: THE VERDICT]

The Magistrate: "By the power of the Merchant Laws, I hereby revoke your License." /me signals the Guards (imaginary). "Seize his stock. Every slave in his pens now belongs to the City Kennels."

Varo: "No! That is my inventory! That is thousands of tarns!"

The Magistrate: "It was illegal inventory. And as for you... since you like working off the books, you can work off your fine in the quarries. No charge."

Varo: /me falls to his knees as he is dragged away. "I should have paid the one percent! I should have paid!"

(Magistrate leads the Slave away to safety. Actors Bow.)

🎀 PART 3: THE ANALYSIS (Kati Returns)

(Wait for the actors to clear the stage. Walk back to the podium.)

[Chat Block 6] /me steps back up to the podium. "Varo lost a fortune to save a few pennies. It is the classic mistake of the greedy."

[Chat Block 7] "Law 5.7 requires Slavers to keep records. Why? It is not just about taxes. It is about Safety."

[Chat Block 8] "If a Free Woman is kidnapped and sold into slavery, the Ledger is the only way we can track her. If a Slaver keeps no records, he is hiding crimes. That is why the City treats off-book trading as a felony, not a mistake."

πŸ“– PART 4: THE AUDIT (Interactive Game)

[Chat Block 9] /me leans forward. "I want you to play the role of the Tax Collector. I will describe a Slaver's behavior. You tell me: CLEAN (Legal) or DIRTY (Audit Him)?"

[Scenario 1] "Scenario 1: Slaver X operates in the main square. He has a Scribe sitting at his table. Every time coin changes hands, the Scribe writes it down and stamps a paper. Clean or Dirty?" (WAIT for audience to answer. Answer: CLEAN.)

[Chat Block 10] "Verdict: CLEAN. He is paying for transparency. The Scribe is a witness. This man is honest."

[Scenario 2] "Scenario 2: Slaver Y operates out of a tent near the docks at night. He only accepts Cash (no notes of credit). He offers a 'discount' if you do not ask for a receipt. Clean or Dirty?" (WAIT. Answer: DIRTY.)

[Chat Block 11] "Verdict: DIRTY. 'No Receipt' means 'No Evidence.' He is hiding income. He is likely selling stolen goods or evading the tax. Seize his tent."

[Scenario 3] "Scenario 3: Slaver Z claims he is not selling slaves, but 'Adopting' them out for a 'Donation.' He says he runs a charity for wayward girls. Clean or Dirty?" (WAIT. Answer: DIRTY.)

[Chat Block 12] "Verdict: DIRTY. There is no such thing as a slave charity. He is using word-games to avoid Commercial Taxes. A 'Donation' is just a Sale by another name. Audit him immediately."

❓ PART 5: Q&A SEGMENT

[Chat Block 13] "I will take questions now regarding the Slave Trade, Taxes, or Smuggling."

(Signal PLANT A)

[PLANT A QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress! Can I sell my slave to my friend privately? Just a direct trade? Do I need a ledger for that?"

[Chat Block 14 - Answer] /me nods. "You still need a Scribe. Law 6.4.5."

[Chat Block 15] "Even a private sale between friends requires a Sealed Bill of Sale. You do not need a 'Ledger' like a professional merchant, but you need the Transfer Document. Without it, you cannot prove you sold her, and he cannot prove he bought her."

(Signal PLANT B)

[PLANT B QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress, what happens to the slaves seized from a Smuggler? Are they freed?"

[Chat Block 16 - Answer] /me shakes her head. "No. They are Confiscated Assets."

[Chat Block 17] "They are taken to the City Kennels. They are checked by Physicians. Then, they are sold at Public Auction to pay the fines the Smuggler owed. The City does not free property; it recycles it."

🏁 THE CLOSING

[Chat Block 18] /me smooths her robes. "We have reached the end of the curriculum. We have covered every major aspect of Gorean Law."

[Chat Block 19] "Tomorrow is Week 13, Day 5. The Finale. The Graduation."

[Chat Block 20] "We will review everything one last time. I will issue the Magistrate's Challenge—a final test of your knowledge. And those who pass will receive the Seal of the Enlightened Citizen."

[Chat Block 21] "Wear your finest robes tomorrow. It is a celebration of Order. The Circle is closed!"

(Signal Crier/Slave to end.)

W13D1 - Lecture (Slavers/Poison)

by Kati Evans

Here is the full production script for Week 13, Day 1.

To ensure this fills the 30–60 minute window, this script serves as a bridge between Merchant Law and Criminal Law. It deals with the high-stakes business of Slavers and the terrifying concept of Biological Weapons (Poison Slaves).

I have added a specific interactive segment called "Merchant or Smuggler?" to test the audience on the difference between a legitimate Slaver and a criminal.

Crucial Note: Have a Ledger (book) and a small Vial/Bottle (prop) on the podium to serve as visual aids.

πŸ“œ SECOND LIFE SCRIPT: WEEK 13, DAY 1

Event: The Lecture (The Business of Flesh & Hidden Death) Host: Kati Evans Target Duration: 35–45 Minutes (plus gathering time)

🟒 PRE-EVENT CHECKLIST

  • [ ] Rez the Stage. (Props: A Ledger, a green/black bottle representing poison).

  • [ ] Staff: Ensure Plant A and Plant B have their Question Notecards.

  • [ ] 1:00 PM: Announce 5-minute gathering period.

🎀 PART 1: THE WELCOME (The Final Cycle)

(Walk to the podium. Place the Ledger and the Vial on the wood. Look solemn.)

[Chat Block 1] /me steps up to the podium. She rests her hands on the heavy leather ledger. She looks out at the crowd, acknowledging the regulars who have been here for weeks. "Tal, Citizens. Welcome to Week 13 of The Circle."

[Chat Block 2] "We have arrived at the end. The Final Cycle. We have spoken of Laws for the Free, Laws for the Slave, Laws of the Market, and Laws of the Sword."

[Chat Block 3] "Today, we speak of the men who stand in the middle of all these worlds. The men who turn people into coin: The Slavers."

[Chat Block 4] "And we will speak of the darkest perversion of our law: The Slave who is not a tool of pleasure, but a tool of death. The Poison Slave."

πŸ’° PART 2: THE SLAVER'S LEDGER (Law 5.6 & 5.7)

[Chat Block 5] /me opens the ledger. "Slavery is the engine of Gor. But it is not a chaotic trade. It is not kidnapping in the dark. It is a Business."

[Chat Block 6] "Law 5.6 permits Private Slavers and Kennels. It is an honorable profession... provided it is honest."

[Chat Block 7] "But listen, Slavers: Law 5.7 says you must provide records of sales and properties to the Merchant Magistrate. You cannot sell girls in the dark. Every collar must be tracked."

[Chat Block 8] "If you hide your sales to avoid the tax, or if you sell girls off the books... you are not a Merchant. You are a Smuggler. And the City treats Smugglers like thieves. We seize your stock. We burn your ledger. We break your chains."

☠️ PART 3: THE POISON SLAVE (Law 6.8.2)

[Chat Block 9] /me picks up the small vial from the podium. She holds it up to the light. "Now, a warning to the wealthy. Some of you think it is clever to keep a 'Poison Slave'—a girl whose lips are coated in death, or whose nails scratch venom."

[Chat Block 10] "You think she is a bodyguard. You think she is a secret weapon."

[Chat Block 11] "Law 6.8.2 is absolute: 'Poison slaves are illegal weapons.' They are not pets. They are assassins."

[Chat Block 12] "Law 6.8.2.a: 'Authorities shall immediately destroy any uncaged poison slave.' We do not cure them. We kill them. They are biological hazards."

[Chat Block 13] "Law 6.8.2.b: 'Any Owner who possesses a poison slave without approval... commits Treason.'"

[Chat Block 14] "Treason. Not a fine. Treason. If we find one in your house, we do not just kill the slave; we kill the Master. Do not bring poison into this city."

⚖️ PART 4: MERCHANT OR SMUGGLER? (Interactive Game)

[Chat Block 15] /me leans forward. "I want to test your knowledge of the Trade. I will describe a transaction. You tell me: MERCHANT (Legal) or SMUGGLER (Illegal)?"

[Scenario 1] "Scenario 1: A Slaver sells a girl to a visitor in the middle of the night behind the tavern. He accepts a bag of uncounted coins. He gives no receipt. Merchant or Smuggler?" (WAIT for audience to answer. Answer: SMUGGLER.)

[Chat Block 16 - The Verdict] "Verdict: SMUGGLER. No receipt? No Scribe? No Record? That is black market trade. If the girl runs away, the buyer has no proof of ownership. And the Slaver has paid no tax."

[Scenario 2] "Scenario 2: A Slaver brings a girl to the Hall of Records. He pays the tax. He registers the transfer. But the girl is weeping. Merchant or Smuggler?" (WAIT. Answer: MERCHANT.)

[Chat Block 17 - The Verdict] "Verdict: MERCHANT. The girl's tears do not matter. The paperwork matters. He followed Law 5.7. It is a legal sale."

[Scenario 3] "Scenario 3: A Master claims his slave has 'special lipstick' that makes men sleep forever. He keeps her in a cage in his bedroom. He has no permit from the High Magistrate. Merchant or Smuggler?" (WAIT. Answer: TRAITOR/TREASON.)

[Chat Block 18 - The Verdict] "Verdict: TRAITOR. This is Law 6.8.2. He possesses an illegal weapon. He is not a smuggler; he is a dead man walking. Report him immediately."

❓ PART 5: Q&A SEGMENT (Extending Time)

[Chat Block 19] /me takes a sip of water. "I will take questions now regarding the Slave Trade, Poison, or the legality of weapons."

(Signal PLANT A)

[PLANT A QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress! Can I get a permit for a Poison Slave? The law says 'without approval.' Who gives approval?"

[Chat Block 20 - Answer] /me narrows her eyes. "Technically? The High Magistrate or the Ubar."

[Chat Block 21] "But practically? Never. Unless you are the Ubar's personal assassin, you will not get that permit. Do not ask for it. Asking for it makes the Magistrates wonder why you need to kill people so quietly."

(Signal PLANT B)

[PLANT B QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress, what if I buy a slave and find out later she was stolen? Do I lose my money?"

[Chat Block 22 - Answer] /me nods grimly. "Yes. If you buy stolen goods, they are returned to the original owner."

[Chat Block 23] "Law 6.8.3.a allows a Warrior to challenge for a stolen slave (Kajira Canjellne). But legally, if the papers prove she belongs to another... you lose the girl. You must then sue the Slaver who sold her to you for Fraud. Check the provenance before you buy."

🏁 THE CLOSING

[Chat Block 24] /me closes the ledger with a heavy thud. "We are approaching the end. Tomorrow, we move to the stage for the final time."

[Chat Block 25] "Our players will perform a drama titled 'The Invisible Ledger.' It is the story of a Slaver named Varo who thought he was too smart to pay taxes. He learned that the Scribes see everything."

[Chat Block 26] "And remember... Friday is Graduation. If you have been with us, you will receive the Seal. Do not miss it."

[Chat Block 27] "Dismissed!"

(Signal Crier/Slave to end.)

W12D5 - Forum (Freedom Path)

by Kati Evans

Here is the full production script for Week 12, Day 5.

To ensure this fills the 30–60 minute window, this script focuses on the Bureaucracy of Freedom. The interactive segment "Freedom or Fraud?" is critical here—it teaches players that "saying" someone is free means nothing without the specific items required by Law 6.7.

Crucial Note: Ensure Plant A and Plant B are present. Their questions address the most common misconceptions about "buying" freedom.

πŸ“œ SECOND LIFE SCRIPT: WEEK 12, DAY 5

Event: The Forum ("The Path to Freedom") Host: Kati Evans Target Duration: 40–50 Minutes (Interactive)

🟒 PRE-EVENT CHECKLIST

  • [ ] Rez the Stage.

  • [ ] Props: A Scroll with a ribbon (Manumission Paper) and perhaps a Key.

  • [ ] Staff: Ensure Plant A and Plant B are in the audience.

  • [ ] 1:00 PM: Announce 5-minute gathering period.

🎀 PART 1: THE RECAP (Kati)

(Walk to the podium. Look at the slaves in the audience with a softer expression than usual.)

[Chat Block 1] /me steps onto the stage, resting her hands on the podium. She scans the crowd. "Tal, Citizens. We have reached the end of Week 12. The week of Survival."

[Chat Block 2] "It has been a week of warnings. On Day 1, we learned the Death Rules. On Day 2, we watched Lina die because she touched a sword to help her Master. On Day 3, the Poet showed us the Hamstrung Dancer. And yesterday... we saw Eleni executed for lying to protect a tax cheat."

[Chat Block 3] "We have spoken much of how a slave dies. Today, we speak of how a slave Lives. We speak of the only legal exit from the collar: Manumission."

[Chat Block 4] "Many slaves dream of Freedom. But Freedom in Teletus is not just walking away. It is a legal process. If you do it wrong, you are not Free; you are Escaped. And we know what happens to escapers."

πŸ“œ PART 2: THE DOCUMENTS (Lecture)

[Chat Block 5] /me picks up the scroll from the podium and holds it high. "Law 6.7.1 states: 'Owners may free their slaves at any time.' It is a Gift. It cannot be forced by the City. It cannot be demanded by the slave."

[Chat Block 6] "But the Gift requires proof. Law 6.7.2 mandates that Manumission papers must be Certified and Sealed by a Scribe. A handwritten note from your Master is not enough. It needs the Wax."

[Chat Block 7] "And listen closely to Law 6.7.3: 'Freed women must carry valid manumission papers with them at all times.'"

[Chat Block 8] "This paper is your life. If a Guard stops you and you do not have it? You go to jail for a hand. If you lose it entirely? You are re-enslaved. You are property until the paper says otherwise."

πŸ”“ PART 3: FREEDOM OR FRAUD? (Interactive Game)

[Chat Block 9] /me leans forward. "I want to test your knowledge of Release. I will give you a scenario. You tell me: Is she FREE (Legal) or SLAVE (Fraud/Escape)?"

[Scenario 1] "Scenario 1: A Master gets drunk. He rips the collar off his girl and shouts, 'Get out! You are free!' She runs out the door. She has no papers. Free or Slave?" (WAIT 30 SECONDS. Answer: SLAVE.)

[Chat Block 10] "Verdict: SLAVE. Verbal release means nothing. Without the paper, she is just a runaway. If the Guards find her, she goes to the Kennels. If the Master wakes up sober the next day, he can claim her back."

[Scenario 2] "Scenario 2: A slave is Manumitted properly. She has the papers. But... two days later, she is still wearing her silk camisk and walking with her head down, acting like a slave because she is used to it. Free or Slave?" (WAIT 30 SECONDS. Answer: SLAVE / DANGEROUS.)

[Chat Block 11] "Verdict: DANGEROUS (Risk of Re-enslavement). Law 6.7.4: 'A newly freed slave must dress properly within one day.'"

[Chat Block 12] "If you are Free, you must wear the Robes of Concealment. If you dress like a slave, Law 3.3 (Slave-Like Behavior) applies. You can be collared again for acting like the thing you just stopped being."

[Scenario 3] "Scenario 3: A Master frees his slave. He gives her the papers. He also takes her to a Smith, who strikes a line through her brand (The Cross-Brand). She loses the papers, but shows the Cross-Brand to the Guard. Free or Slave?" (WAIT 30 SECONDS. Answer: SLAVE / DETAINED.)

[Chat Block 13] "Verdict: DETAINED. A Cross-Brand supports the claim, but it is not proof. Brands can be faked. Papers are the Law. She will be held in the cells until the Scribes can verify the Hall of Records. Do not lose the paper."

❓ PART 4: Q&A SEGMENT

[Chat Block 14] "I will take questions now regarding Manumission, the Transition, or the Rights of the Newly Free."

(Signal PLANT A)

[PLANT A QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress! Can a slave buy her own freedom? If she saves up enough coin?"

[Chat Block 15 - Answer] /me shakes her head gently. "This is a common myth. Law 6.1.2: 'A slave owns nothing.'"

[Chat Block 16] "If a slave has a jar of coins under her bed... those coins belong to her Master. She cannot 'pay' him with his own money."

[Chat Block 17] "HOWEVER... sometimes a third party (a free friend) can buy her and free her. Or, a generous Master might pretend to let her buy it to satisfy her honor. But legally? It is a gift, not a purchase."

(Signal PLANT B)

[PLANT B QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress, if a slave is freed, does she become High Caste? Or is she a peasant?"

[Chat Block 18 - Answer] /me nods. "She becomes the lowest of the Free. She has no Caste until she petitions for one."

[Chat Block 19] "Law 6.7.4 says she must petition to join a Caste within One Hand. Usually, she will join the Peasants or Artisans. She does not become a Lady of Ar just because the collar is off. She must work her way up like everyone else."

🏁 THE CLOSING

[Chat Block 20] /me smooths her robes. "Freedom is a heavy burden. You must pay taxes. You must find food. You must defend yourself. Some slaves, upon being freed, weep not for joy, but for fear."

[Chat Block 21] "Next week is our final week! Week 13: The Grand Review."

[Chat Block 22] "We will cover the business of Slavers—the men who buy and sell. We will discuss the ultimate taboo: The Poison Slave."

[Chat Block 23] "And on Friday... we will have our Graduation. Those who have attended faithfully will receive the Seal of the Enlightened Citizen. Do not miss the finale."

[Chat Block 24] "The Circle is closed!"

(Signal Crier/Slave to end.)

W12D4 - Story (Price of Secret)

by Kati Evans

Here is the full production script for Week 12, Day 4.

To ensure this fills the 30–60 minute window, the Storyteller portion is a suspenseful interrogation drama. I have also included an interactive segment called "The Truth Trap" to teach the audience the subtle (and dangerous) art of answering without answering—the only survival skill a slave has.

Special Instruction: You must copy the "Part 2: The Story" section into a Notecard named Script: The Price of a Secret and give it to your Guest Speaker (or perform it yourself) before the event.

πŸ“œ SECOND LIFE SCRIPT: WEEK 12, DAY 4

Event: The Storyteller ("The Price of a Secret") Host: Kati Evans Guest Performer: The Storyteller (Guest or Kati) Target Duration: 40–50 Minutes

🟒 PRE-EVENT CHECKLIST

  • [ ] Rez the Stage. (Props: A chair for the storyteller, maybe a ledger or scroll on the podium).

  • [ ] The Storyteller: Ensure they have the script notecard.

  • [ ] 1:00 PM: Start formal RP. Announce 5-minute gathering.

🎀 PART 1: THE INTRODUCTION (Kati)

(Walk to the podium. Look stern. Keep hands clasped behind back.)

[Chat Block 1] /me steps onto the stage. She does not smile. The topic today is too dangerous for humor. "Tal, Citizens. Welcome to Day 4 of The Circle."

[Chat Block 2] "We have spoken of the Hand and the Leg. Today, we speak of the Tongue."

[Chat Block 3] "Law 6.3.7 is absolute: 'Slaves may not lie.' If a slave is caught in a falsehood, the penalty is Death. Not a whipping. Death."

[Chat Block 4] "But this creates the ultimate nightmare for a slave. What if your Master orders you to lie? What if Loyalty demands silence, but the Law demands speech?"

[Chat Block 5] "Today, our Storyteller brings us the tale of 'The Price of a Secret.' It is the story of Eleni, a girl who thought her loyalty would save her. She was wrong."

/me steps down and takes a seat near the fire, gesturing for the Storyteller to take the chair.

πŸ“– PART 2: THE STORY (For the Guest Speaker)

(Give this text to your Storyteller. They should paste one block at a time, allowing 15-20 seconds for the audience to read and visualize.)

[Block 1] /me sits in the storyteller's chair, wringing their hands nervously. "Eleni was the personal slave of Merchant Varon. Varon was a wealthy man, but he had a vice: He hated paying the City Tax on his imported wine."

[Block 2] "One night, Varon received a shipment of twenty casks of Turian Red. He did not register them. He hid them in the cellar beneath the slave quarters. He told Eleni: 'If anyone asks, we have received no shipments this month. Do you understand?'"

[Block 3] "Eleni nodded. 'Yes, Master. No shipments.' She loved Varon. She wanted to be a good girl."

[Block 4] "Two days later, the Tax Collectors arrived. They were accompanied by two Guards. They had a tip. They banged on the door."

[Block 5] "Varon was out at the market. Eleni opened the door. She bowed low. The Head Collector looked at her. 'Girl, we are looking for a shipment of Turian wine. Has your Master received any casks this week?'"

[Block 6] "Eleni's heart hammered. She remembered Varon's command. She looked at the Collector's eyes. She made her choice."

[Block 7] "'No, Master,' she said clearly. 'We have received no shipments. The cellar is empty.'"

[Block 8] "The Collector narrowed his eyes. 'Are you certain? Lying to an Official is a death offense, girl.'"

[Block 9] "Eleni trembled, but she held firm. 'I am certain, Master. Varon has bought nothing.'"

[Block 10] "The Collector pushed past her. 'Search the house,' he ordered. The Guards tore the house apart. It took them ten minutes to find the false floor in the slave quarters."

[Block 11] "They pulled up the wood. There sat twenty casks of Turian Red."

[Block 12] "When Varon returned home, he found the Guards waiting. He was arrested for Tax Evasion. He shouted, 'I will pay the fine! It was an oversight!'"

[Block 13] "But the Collector pointed to Eleni, who was kneeling in the corner, weeping. 'And what of her?' the Collector asked. 'She looked me in the eye and lied to protect your crime.'"

[Block 14] "Varon tried to speak, but the Collector drew his sword. 'A Merchant who cheats pays a fine,' he said. 'But a slave who lies is broken machinery.'"

[Block 15] "They did not even take her to the jail. They executed her on the doorstep of the house she tried to protect. Varon lost his wine. Eleni lost her life. Loyalty to the Master does not override Loyalty to the Truth."

(The Storyteller bows/nods.)

🎀 PART 3: THE ANALYSIS (Kati Returns)

(Walk back to the podium.)

[Chat Block 16] /me stands and nods to the Storyteller. "A hard lesson. Eleni died because she confused Obedience with Law."

[Chat Block 17] "A slave must obey her Master... unless he commands her to break the High Law. If he commands her to kill the Ubar, she must refuse. If he commands her to lie to the City, she must refuse."

[Chat Block 18] "She is Property, yes. But she is Registered Property. She belongs to the City first, and the Master second."

πŸ€₯ PART 4: THE TRUTH TRAP (Interactive Game)

[Chat Block 19] /me leans forward. "I want to teach the slaves here—and the Masters who command them—how to survive this trap. It is the art of Evasion."

[Chat Block 20] "I will give you a question. You tell me what the slave should say to survive."

[Scenario 1] "Scenario 1: The Master is inside with a mistress. His Wife comes to the door. She asks the slave: 'Is my husband inside?' If the slave says 'No,' she lies (Death). If she says 'Yes,' she is whipped by the Master. What does she say?" (WAIT 30 SECONDS. Look for answers like "He is unavailable.")

[Chat Block 21 - The Answer] "Verdict: THE NON-ANSWER. She says: 'Master commanded that he is not to be disturbed.' or 'I cannot open the door, Mistress.'"

[Chat Block 22] "She states the Command, not the Fact. She does not say where he is; she says what her orders are. It is the only path through the fire."

[Scenario 2] "Scenario 2: A Guard asks a slave: 'Did your Master steal this bread?' The slave saw him do it. If she says 'Yes,' she betrays him. If she says 'No,' she dies. What does she say?" (WAIT. Answer: SILENCE or "I am just a slave.")

[Chat Block 23 - The Answer] "Verdict: FEIGNED IGNORANCE. She says: 'I am just a slave, Master. I do not know the business of free men.' Or she says: 'I did not see.' (If she can get away with it)."

[Chat Block 24] "But if the Guard presses her? If he demands the truth under torture? She must speak. The Truth outweighs the Master. It is better to be whipped for betrayal than beheaded for perjury."

❓ PART 5: Q&A SEGMENT

[Chat Block 25] "I will take questions now regarding Lying, Secrets, or the Master's Command."

(Signal PLANT A)

[PLANT A QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress! Is a 'White Lie' illegal? If a slave tells me my hair looks good when it is messy, can I execute her?"

[Chat Block 26 - Answer] /me rolls her eyes slightly. "Legally? Law 6.3.7 makes no distinction between big lies and small lies."

[Chat Block 27] "However... a Master who executes his slave for flattering him is a fool who destroys his own wealth. The Magistrate will not stop you, but your neighbors will laugh at you. Save the executioner for crimes that matter."

(Signal PLANT B)

[PLANT B QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress, can a slave lie to another slave? Or does the law only apply to Free People?"

[Chat Block 28 - Answer] /me nods. "The Law protects The Free. If a slave lies to another slave, it is a domestic dispute. The City does not care."

[Chat Block 29] "However, a lying slave is a broken tool. If she lies to her kennel-mate, she will eventually lie to you. Curb the habit early."

🏁 THE CLOSING

[Chat Block 30] /me smooths her robes. "We have survived the Week of Conduct. We have learned to keep our hands off weapons, our fists at our sides, and our tongues truthful."

[Chat Block 31] "Next week is the end. Week 13: The Grand Review."

[Chat Block 32] "We will discuss Slavers and their ledgers. We will discuss the horror of the Poison Slave. And on Friday... we will have our Graduation."

[Chat Block 33] "Those who have attended faithfully will receive the Seal of the Enlightened Citizen. Do not miss it."

[Chat Block 34] "Thank you to our Storyteller. The Circle is closed!"

(Signal Crier/Slave to end.)
