📜 DAY 1: THE LECTURE (Script for Kati)
Topic: The Mandate (High & Low Castes)
[OPENING] "Tal, Citizens of Teletus. Welcome to Week 3." "Look at your clothes. Look at the tools in your hands. They define you. In Gor, we do not believe in chaos. We believe in Order. And that Order is the Caste System."
[SECTION 1: THE MANDATE] "Law 2.1.1 is the most important rule of your daily life: 'All the free of Teletus must be within a caste.'" "There is no such thing as 'just a guy' or 'just a traveler' who stays forever. If you do not belong to a Caste, you are considered an Outlaw. And Outlaws have no rights. They are hunted."
[SECTION 2: HIGH VS. LOW] "Our society is built like a pyramid. At the top are the High Castes—Initiates, Scribes, Builders, Physicians, and Warriors. They sit on the High Council. They guide the city." "Below them are the Low Castes—Merchants, Peasants, Artisans, Entertainers. Do not think 'Low' means 'Worthless.' Without the Baker, the Warrior starves. Without the Mason, the Scribe has no roof."
[SECTION 3: THE REQUIREMENTS] "You cannot just put on a robe and say, 'I am a Physician.' Law 2.2.4 says full membership is only granted upon satisfaction of training. You must be an apprentice. You must learn. Only the Head of Caste can say you are ready."
[CLOSING] "Tomorrow, we will see a play about a man who thought he could change his Caste as easily as changing his tunic. He learned the hard way that the Law demands more. Dismissed!"
🎠DAY 2: CREATIVE BRIEF (For Aria/Actors)
Topic: The Drifter's Error
To: Aria / Caste of Players From: Kati Evans Theme: Law 2.4 (Changing Caste) & 2.1 (Mandate)
The Goal: A comedy (or drama) about the bureaucracy of changing castes. It teaches that you can't just switch titles without paperwork.
Characters:
VARUS: A bored Baker who decides he wants to be a Warrior today.
THE SCRIBE: Obsessed with paperwork.
THE WARRIOR: Laughs at Varus.
Plot Outline:
The Idea: Varus throws down his rolling pin. "I am tired of flour! I shall be a Warrior!" He picks up a stick and starts swinging it.
The Reality: He goes to the Scribe. "Write me down as a Warrior."
The Law: The Scribe opens the book. "Ah, but Law 2.4.1 requires a petition. And Law 2.4.3 requires approval from your current Head (Bakers) AND your intended Head (Warriors)."
The Rejection: The Warrior walks in, sees Varus holding the stick wrong, and knocks him down. "You are no Warrior. Go back to your dough."
The Lesson: Varus realizes he must train and petition properly. You respect the Caste by earning it.
🖋️ DAY 3: CREATIVE BRIEF (For Aria/Poets)
Topic: The Wheel of Society
To: Aria / Caste of Players From: Kati Evans Theme: Law 2.6 (Duties & Obligations)
The Goal: A poem that celebrates the diversity of Castes working together. It should emphasize that every job matters.
Key Elements:
The Interconnectedness: The Warrior needs the Metalworker; the Metalworker needs the Farmer.
The Code: Mention Law 2.6.1: "Every Free Man shall be required to perform the duties of his Caste." Laziness is not Gorean.
Sanctuary: Mention that your Caste is your family. They protect you (Caste Sanctuary).
Sample Imagery: "Five High fingers make the hand, But a thousand Low grains make the land. If the Potter sleeps, the jar will break, If the Scribe forgets, the laws will shake."
📖 DAY 4: STORY BRIEF (For Guest Speaker)
Topic: The Lazy Man's Fate
To: Guest Speaker / Storyteller Theme: Law 2.6.3 (Retirement) & 2.5 (Expulsion)
The Goal: A cautionary tale about a man who refused to work but wouldn't retire.
Story Arc:
Tell the story of Old Torgus. He was a Builder, but he stopped building. He just sat in the tavern.
The Head of Caste warned him: "Work, or file your Retirement Record (Law 2.6.3)."
Torgus was too proud to call himself "Retired," but too lazy to lift a brick.
Finally, Law 2.5.3 was invoked: Expulsion for dereliction of duty.
Without a Caste, Torgus became an Outlaw. The story ends with him begging outside the gates, stripped of his Citizenship.
Moral: Work or Retire. There is no middle ground for the idle.
🗣️ DAY 5: THE FORUM (Script for Kati)
Topic: "How Do I Find My Place?" (Q&A)
[OPENING] "Tal. Week 3 ends today. We have spoken of the Castes—the Five High and the Many Low." "I see new faces in the crowd. Some of you are 'Pledged' but not yet 'Casted.' You are asking: Where do I fit?"
[ACTIVITY: THE SORTING HAT (Gorean Style)] "I want to invite anyone who is looking for a Caste to step forward. Tell us your skills. The Circle will tell you where you belong." (If a player volunteers, ask them what they like to do. If they say "Fighting," point them to Warriors. If "Writing," point to Scribes).
[Q&A SESSION - PLANT QUESTIONS] "I open The Circle. Ask me about the Caste Laws."
Plant Question 1: "Mistress, I am a Free Woman. Can I be a Warrior?"
Answer: "No. But Law 2.1.7 says Free Women may hold membership in most Castes. You can be a Scribe, a Builder, or an Artisan. But the Sword is for the Men."
Plant Question 2: "Mistress, my Companion is a Merchant. Can I become a Merchant too?"
Answer: "Yes. Law 2.2.5 allows a Free Woman to assume the Caste of her Companion. But you must still learn the trade. You do not get the title for free."
[CLOSING] "Next week, we discuss the heart of the home: The Household & Family. Fathers, get your daughters ready to listen. The Circle is closed!"
📜 SCRIPT 1: WEEK 3, DAY 1 (THE LECTURE)
Host: Kati Evans Topic: The Mandate (The Caste System)
(Instructions: Stand at the podium. Wait for Crier to finish.)
[LINE 1] Tal, Citizens of Teletus. Welcome to Week 3. Look at your clothes. Look at the tools in your hands. They define you. In other worlds, there is chaos. In Gor, there is Order. And that Order is the Caste System.
[LINE 2] Law 2.1.1 is the most important rule of your daily life. It says: "All the free of Teletus must be within a caste, and remain active in their caste." There is no such thing here as "just a traveler" who stays forever. If you do not belong to a Caste, you are considered an Outlaw. And Outlaws have no rights. They are hunted.
[LINE 3] Our society is built like a pyramid. At the top are the High Castes—Initiates, Scribes, Builders, Physicians, and Warriors. They sit on the High Council. They guide the city. If you see a robe of white, blue, yellow, green, or red, you show respect.
[LINE 4] Below them are the Low Castes—Merchants, Peasants, Artisans, Entertainers. Do not think "Low" means "Worthless." Without the Baker, the Warrior starves. Without the Mason, the Scribe has no roof over his scrolls. Every cog in the wheel is vital.
[LINE 5] But listen to me carefully: You cannot just put on a robe and say, "I am a Physician." Law 2.2.4 says full membership is only granted upon satisfaction of training. You must be an apprentice. You must learn the trade. Only the Head of Caste can say you are ready.
[LINE 6] Do not fake your Caste. Law 4.3.5 says: "Any Free Person falsely claiming membership in a Caste... shall be subject to fines or enslavement." If you wear the Red but cannot swing a sword, you are committing a crime.
[LINE 7 - CLOSING] Find your place. Work hard. Serve the Home Stone through your labor. Tomorrow, our players will perform "The Drifter's Error." It is a comedy about a man who thought he could change his Caste as easily as changing his tunic. He learned the hard way. Dismissed!
🗣️ SCRIPT 2: WEEK 3, DAY 5 (THE FORUM)
Host: Kati Evans Topic: "How Do I Find My Place?" (Q&A)
(Instructions: This is interactive. Be prepared to pause.)
[LINE 1] Tal. Week 3 ends today. We have spoken of the Castes—the Five High and the Many Low. I see new faces in the crowd today. Some of you are "Pledged" but not yet "Casted." You are asking: Where do I fit?
[LINE 2] Today we will help you. I want to invite anyone who is looking for a Caste to step forward. Tell us your skills. The Circle will tell you where you belong.
(Wait for a volunteer. If someone steps up, ask them what they do. If they say "I like money," tell them "Merchant." If they say "I like healing," tell them "Physician." If no one volunteers, move to the next line.)
[LINE 3] While you think on your future, remember Law 2.6: "Every Free Man shall be required to perform the duties of his Caste." Laziness is not Gorean. If you are a Builder, build. If you are a Poet, write. If you stop working, you risk Expulsion.
[LINE 4 - Q&A OPENER] I open The Circle. Who has a question about the Castes or how to join one?
(Wait for questions. If silence, use a PLANT QUESTION below).
(If needed - Plant Question 1): "Mistress, I am a Free Woman. Can I be a Warrior? I am good with a knife."
Your Answer: "No. Law 2.1.7 says Free Women may hold membership in any Caste except the Initiates or the Assassins... and traditionally, the Warriors. The Sword is for the Men. But you could be a Scribe, a Builder, or an Artisan. Use your mind, not your blade."
(If needed - Plant Question 2): "Mistress, my Companion is a Merchant. Can I become a Merchant too?"
Your Answer: "Yes. Law 2.2.5 allows a Free Woman to assume the Caste of her Companion. But you must still learn the trade! You do not get the title for free just because you share his furs."
[LINE 5 - CLOSING] Next week, we move from the workplace to the home. Week 4: The Household & Family. Fathers, get your daughters ready to listen. We will discuss who rules the house, and what happens to your coin when you die.
[LINE 6] Go to your Caste Halls. Get to work. The Circle is closed!

"Can a Free Woman be a Warrior?" (No).
"Can I take my Companion's Caste?" (Yes, but must train).
