Here is the full production script for Week 4, Day 5.
To ensure this fills the 30–60 minute window, this script focuses heavily on the "Fine Print" of Gorean relationships. The interactive segment forces the audience to realize that "Companionship" is a temporary business arrangement, not a fairy tale.
Crucial Note: Ensure Plant A and Plant B are present. Their questions clarify the difference between "Love" and "Law."

π€ PART 1: THE RECAP (Kati)
(Walk to the podium. Look relaxed. Establish eye contact.)
[Chat Block 1] /me steps onto the stage, resting her hands on the podium. She smiles, looking over the familiar faces. "Tal, Citizens. We have reached the end of Week 4. The week of Duty & The Household."
[Chat Block 2] "We have discussed the coin we owe the Ubar (Taxes). We have honored the Father as the King of his Castle. And yesterday, we wept for Varrus, who lost his legacy because he did not sign his Will."
[Chat Block 3] "Today, we end with the most common—and most misunderstood—contract in the city: The Free Companionship."
[Chat Block 4] "Many new arrivals confuse 'Companionship' with 'Marriage' from other worlds. They think it is 'Happily Ever After.' They are wrong. It is a contract. And like all contracts, it has terms, it has limits, and it has an expiration date."
π PART 2: THE CONTRACT LECTURE (The Expiration)
[Chat Block 5] /me unrolls the scroll in her hand, holding it up. "Law 1.9 defines the union. Listen to the limitations."
[Chat Block 6] "First: A Free Person may have only one Companion at a time. You cannot hoard spouses. If you want a harem, buy slaves. If you want a Companion, choose one."
[Chat Block 7] "Second—and most important: Companionship lasts one Gorean year. That is it. Unless you renew it within two hands of the anniversary, it dissolves automatically."
[Chat Block 8] "Imagine the chaos. You forget the date. The year passes. Technically, you are no longer Companioned. If you die the next day, she inherits nothing because she is legally a stranger. Check your dates."
π️ PART 3: THE FINE PRINT GAME (Interactive)
[Chat Block 9] /me lowers the scroll and looks intently at the women in the audience. "Now, a game of 'Read the Fine Print.' This is for the Free Women."
[Chat Block 10] "Law 1.7.1.c is a terrifying piece of law. It says: 'The Head of Household may enslave his Free Companion... unless a binding, certified contract forbids it.'"
[Chat Block 11] "I want to ask the Companioned women here: Have you actually read your contract? Does it have the 'No Enslavement Clause'?"
[Chat Block 12] "Scenario: You make your Companion angry. He is the Head of Household. He decides to collar you. You scream, 'You can't do this!' He pulls out the contract. The clause is missing."
[Chat Block 13] "Question: Is his action legal? Yes or No?"
(WAIT 20-30 SECONDS. Let the audience debate.)
[Chat Block 14 - The Verdict] "Answer: YES. Without that specific clause, the Head of Household has the right to reduce anyone under his roof to slavery. Ladies, if you signed a standard form without checking... go to the Scribes today and amend it."
❓ PART 4: THE OPEN FORUM (Q&A)
[Chat Block 15] /me rolls the scroll back up with a snap. "I open The Circle to you. Ask me about Families, Contracts, or the difference between a Wife and a Slave."
(WAIT 30 SECONDS. If silence, Signal PLANT A.)
[PLANT A QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress! I have a Companion, but I also have a kajira I am very... fond of. Can I make a contract with the kajira too? Like a lesser wife?"
[Chat Block 16 - Answer] /me laughs, shaking her head. "No. You cannot sign a contract with furniture."
[Chat Block 17] "Law 5.8.3 and Law 6.1.2. A slave has no legal standing. She cannot sign. She cannot own property. Any promise you make to a slave is just wind."
[Chat Block 18] "You can pretend she is a lesser wife. You can give her silk and jewels. But legally? She is property. If you die, your Companion can sell your 'lesser wife' to the highest bidder. Do not confuse affection with law."
(Signal PLANT B)
[PLANT B QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress, if I want to leave my Companion before the year is up, do I have to go to court?"
[Chat Block 19 - Answer] /me nods. "Law 1.9.3. You have options. You can petition the High Council for dissolution. Or you can file with a Magistrate."
[Chat Block 20] "However, usually you must show cause—cruelty, failure to provide, or sterility. If you just 'change your mind,' the Magistrate might tell you to wait out the year. A contract is a promise. We do not break them lightly."
(Optional: Signal PLANT C if you need more time)
[PLANT C QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress, if my Companion adopts my Caste, does she keep it if we divorce?"
[Chat Block 21 - Answer] /me taps her chin thoughtfully. "A complex question. Law 2.2.5 allows her to join your Caste. Once she is fully trained and accepted by the Head of Caste, the rank is hers."
[Chat Block 22] "If the contract ends, she usually retains the Caste if she is in good standing. She earned the skill, even if she lost the husband. But the Head of Caste has the final word."
π THE CLOSING
[Chat Block 23] /me smooths her robes. "The household is a complex fortress. Build it on strong paper, and it will hold. Build it on wishes, and it will crumble."
[Chat Block 24] "Next week, we begin the most visual part of our laws. Week 5: Free Women."
[Chat Block 25] "We will talk of Veils, Robes of Concealment, and the places a Free Woman must never go alone. We will discuss the difference between Modesty and the 'Slave Trap.'"
[Chat Block 26] "Tell your wives and daughters to attend next week. It concerns their safety and their honor."
[Chat Block 27] "The Circle is closed!"
(Signal Crier/Slave to end.)
