Here is the full production script for Week 2, Day 4.
To ensure this fills the 30–60 minute window, the Storyteller portion is substantial and atmospheric. The guest speaker needs to read slowly, allowing the audience to visualize the scene.
Special Instruction: You need to copy the "Part 2: The Story" section into a Notecard named Script: The Shadow and The Savage and give it to your Guest Speaker (or perform it yourself if no guest is available) before the event.

π€ PART 1: THE INTRODUCTION (Kati)
(Walk to the podium. Signal the start.)
[Chat Block 1] /me steps onto the stage. The atmosphere today is tense. She leans against the podium, her eyes scanning the crowd. "Tal, Citizens. Welcome to Day 4 of The Circle."
[Chat Block 2] "We have learned the hierarchy of the Citizen. We have seen the Diplomat pass with his Gold Slash. But there are other strangers who come to our gates. Some bring death in the shadows. Some bring chaos from the forest."
[Chat Block 3] "Law 1.5 governs entry. But Law 1.5.2 and Law 1.5.4 seem to contradict each other. One allows a killer to enter freely. The other commands us to enslave a woman on sight."
[Chat Block 4] "Why does the Law respect the Assassin but despise the Panther? They both kill. They both live by the blade."
[Chat Block 5] "To answer that, I have invited our Storyteller to share the tale of 'The Shadow and The Savage.' It is the story of two arrivals at the same gate, and two very different fates."
/me steps down and takes a seat near the fire, gesturing for the Storyteller to take the chair.
π PART 2: THE STORY (For the Guest Speaker)
(Give this text to your Storyteller. They should paste one block at a time, pacing themselves. Allow 15-20 seconds between blocks for reading.)
[Block 1] /me sits in the storyteller's chair, voice low and raspy. "The sun was high over the Gate of Teletus. The dust hung heavy in the air. The Guards were sweating in their iron, watching the road. It was a day like any other, until the road produced two travelers."
[Block 2] "From the West came a man. He walked slowly, wrapped in black cloth despite the heat. He carried no shield. He carried no spear. He moved through the crowd like smoke, making no sound."
[Block 3] "The crowd parted for him. Mothers pulled their children back. Why? Because on his forehead, stark and black, was the mark of the Black Dagger. The Caste of Assassins."
[Block 4] "He reached the Guard. The Guard tightened his grip on his spear, but he did not block the path. He looked at the mark. He looked at the man's hands, which were empty."
[Block 5] "The Assassin did not speak. He did not explain his business. He simply walked forward. And the Guard... stepped aside. Law 1.5.5. The Assassin entered the city, a shadow among the stone, respected by the fear he commanded."
[Block 6] /me pauses, shifting in the chair. "But from the East... came a different traveler. A woman. She moved low to the ground, darting behind wagons. She wore the skins of the tabuk. Her hair was a tangled mane. She carried a crude spear."
[Block 7] "She was a Panther. A Taluna of the Northern Forests. She came to the gate not with the quiet confidence of the Assassin, but with the wild eyes of a beast."
[Block 8] "She tried to slip past a merchant wagon. She thought she was unseen. But the Guard who let the Assassin pass... he saw her."
[Block 9] "Did he step aside? Did he respect her spear? No. He shouted the alarm. 'Savage at the gate!'"
[Block 10] "The Panther hissed and brandished her weapon. She shouted, 'I am free! I trade!' But the City does not hear the words of the wild. To the City, she was not a warrior. She was game."
[Block 11] "Three guards descended on her. They did not duel her with honor. They netted her like a fish. They stripped her of her furs. They stripped her of her spear."
[Block 12] "The Assassin sat in the tavern, sipping wine, a free man. The Panther sat in the Kennels, naked and chained, waiting for the auction block."
[Block 13] /me looks up at the audience. "Two killers. One walked in. One was dragged in. The Law judges not the violence, but the Order."
(The Storyteller bows/nods.)
π€ PART 3: THE ANALYSIS (Kati Returns)
(Walk back to the podium.)
[Chat Block 14] /me stands and nods to the Storyteller. "A harsh lesson. But why? Why treat them differently?"
[Chat Block 15] "The answer is Caste. The Assassin, terrifying as he is, belongs to a Caste. He follows a Code. He respects the Home Stone—even if he is paid to attack it, he does so within the rules of his profession."
[Chat Block 16] "The Panther rejects the Caste. She rejects the City. She represents Chaos. And Law 1.5.4 is the City's answer to Chaos: We enslave it."
[Chat Block 17] "If the Panther girl had worn a robe... if she had hidden her spear... if she had acted like a civilized woman... she would have entered safely. Her crime was not being dangerous. Her crime was being wild."
π£️ PART 4: DISCUSSION (Time Filler)
[Chat Block 18] /me looks out at the gathered citizens. "I want to ask the Circle a question. Be honest."
[Chat Block 19] "Who scares you more? The Assassin walking quietly behind you? Or the Panther screaming in your face?"
(WAIT. Let people answer in chat. React to them: "Yes, the quiet one is worse," or "Indeed, the screamer is unpredictable.")
[Chat Block 20] "The Law fears the Panther because she disrupts Order. The Law respects the Assassin because he is part of the Order. It is a strange Gorean truth."
❓ Q&A SEGMENT
[Chat Block 21] "I will take questions now regarding Assassins, Outlaws, or the rules of Entry."
(Signal PLANT A)
[PLANT A QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress, can I kill an Assassin if I see him? I don't want him in my shop."
[Chat Block 22 - Answer] /me shakes her head firmly. "No. If you attack him, it is Assault. If he has not drawn his weapon, he is a free man under the law. You cannot attack a man for his Caste mark."
[Chat Block 23] "Also... practically speaking... if you attack a Black Dagger, you will likely be dead before you hit the ground. Let him buy his bread and leave."
(Signal PLANT B)
[PLANT B QUESTION] (Plant asks): "Mistress, what if a Panther girl puts on a dress? Is she still a Panther?"
[Chat Block 24 - Answer] /me smiles. "According to the Law? No. If she wears the Robes of Concealment and acts with decorum, she is a Free Woman."
[Chat Block 25] "We judge by appearance. If she hides her nature, she is safe. If she flaunts her skins, she is property. It is a lesson for all of us: Dress for the life you want to keep."
π THE CLOSING
[Chat Block 26] /me smooths her robes. "Tomorrow, we end our second week. We have talked about who gets in. Tomorrow, we ask: 'Am I Safe Here?'"
[Chat Block 27] "Day 5 will be an Open Forum. We will discuss the limits of safety, the rights of residents, and answer any question you have about the City Gates."
[Chat Block 28] "Thank you to our Storyteller. The Circle is closed!"
(Signal Crier/Slave to end.)
